Every year, I paint one, or two Santa Claus portraits and I always pick one to be my official, annual, holiday portrait. This year's is one of my favorites and is sure to be the centerpiece of your Christmas decor.
Over my years as a career artist, my artist statement changes on an almost minute by minute basis. Like most human beings my emotional state at any one given time affects my decisions and actions, and creating art is no different. Rather than be defined by a particular genre of painting, I paint what sparks my creativity at the moment. Whether it be my annual Santa Claus paintings, because of my love for the holiday season, or painting highly textured abstracts for an entire month, I paint what I am driven to paint.
